August 26 Comox to Tribune Bay (Hornby Island)

A beautiful sunrise in Comox.

Sugar and Rose enjoying the sunrise.

Marty made a very tasty scrambled egg, salmon roe breakfast.

Traveling to Tribune Bay, (Hornby Island,) was so calm that Marty put up the hammock.  The breeze created by the forward motion of the boat was nice.  Also, the natural rocking created by our sailboat was very relaxing.

Marty kept a watchful eye, as we passed through Baynes Sound, with Denman Island on the port side.  Notice the lighthouse station

When we arrived and anchored in Tribune Bay where many other boaters were too, we didn’t wait to go to the beach to swim.  We just dove off Wild Abandon and had a refreshing solar shower afterwards.

This is the third time that we met Jim and Sandy, on SV Mercedes, from Whistler.  We first met Jim when he, came to Prince Rupert with his friend, Tim.  We met them again last year in Shearwater.  This time, we had a chance to visit on their boat and helped them video their ALS challenge, with a bucket of cold seawater on Sandy’s head.  They later came over to Wild Abandon for dessert.
