The Power of One Salmon

Back on July 31st, Marty caught a nine pound coho salmon. The coho was big enough to feed the two of us for days.  We've had many tasty meals from this incredible salmon.





Meal #1: Barbeque salmon fillet

Meal #2:  Chinese Noodle Breakfast  with salmon roe, salmon bits & Chinese sausage


Meal #3:  Sushi with crispy salmon bacon (skin)


Meal #4:  Salmon Tortilla Wraps

Meal #5:  Ceviche with dill on crackers. (Salmon marinaded with lime juice)

Meal #6:  Salmon sandwiches


Meal #7:  Salmon & Crab Chowder. The soup stock was made using the coho head.  The rest of the salmon carcass was used to catch two crabs.  This meal was served with Marty's boat made bread

Meal #8 plus... We had two bowls of soup  leftover, and salmon spread and ceviche on crackers.   The remaining ceviche was given to a couple of American boaters. They were thrilled!  Now we can catch another fish, as we only catch what we need to eat.
