The day started with very calm
conditions for having to go through Meyers Narrows. We moved slowly, with
depths as low as 4 metres. We need a
minimum of 2.5 meters for our boat, (now that Mae has loaded Wild Abandon down with more stuff than
anyone thought could fit on a 30’ sailboat.)
Phew, we made it through and thank goodness it wasn’t a zero tide. As Marty maneuvered carefully, we could see
kelp all around, (a sign of shallows and rocks underwater).
A beautiful calm morning but
later that day, the wind picked up.
Unfortunately, the wind was on our nose and it was difficult to set
sail.

Sugar enjoys being at the bow
of the dinghy just as much as Rose.
Marty taking Sugar on a dinghy
ride in Oliver Cove; where Sugar explored another little island nearby. Can you find her?
