August 6 Barnard Harbour (North End of Prince Royal Island) to Corney Inlet (South End of Princess Royal Island)

After leaving Barnard Harbour, we had many whale sightings.  They were traveling, sounding, diving and breeching - one breeched less then a 100 metres behind us.  To top the whale show, we sailed for over five hours to our next anchorage.  This was the best sailing we have had in a long, long time.

Mae “foot steering” with Rose outstretched and relaxed.

Sugar walked around the sailboat a few times.

Corney Inlet ~ beautiful but not an easy inlet to anchor in.

This is the island that Sugar explored.
